Additional Undergraduate Financial Aid Available to Current Students

Westlake Interest-free Loan

  • The university has launched an on-campus interest-free loan fund and implemented corresponding systems. These initiatives aim to assist undergraduate students who face financial difficulties or require financial aid for various reasons. The objective of these measures is to alleviate financial burdens and provide support to those in need.

Hardship Grants

  • The University has created a hardship grant fund, which aims to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students who are facing unexpected and short-term financial difficulties. The grants are comprised of several forms of aid, including tuition and accommodation fee remissions, temporary hardship grants, and specialized grants. This program is designed to alleviate unique financial challenges that may prevent students from continuing their studies, enabling them to achieve their academic goals.

Work Study

  • Students can utilize their spare time to earn legal remuneration, which can improve their study and living conditions while also relieving financial pressure. On-campus work-study programs offer various opportunities such as teaching, research, and administrative assistant positions, as well as campus public service roles. Please note that international students may be subject to different policies due to visa regulations.

Study Abroad Funding Project

  • The University has introduced a study abroad funding program targeted towards undergraduate students facing financial hardship. Eligibility for the program is determined based on two factors – the financial difficulties encountered by the applicant student and the study abroad program selected. Depending on these criteria, the University will allocate funds to eligible students accordingly.
